The Markins Q3iTRQ is a tripod head from the Q3i series Traveler model, recommended as a compact and lightweight option.
The Q3i series supports a maximum load of 30 kg. The Traveler model is designed specifically for traveler tripods, while other series include the Q20i with a 50 kg load capacity and the Q10i with 45 kg. All series are renowned for their smooth motion and precise friction that stops exactly where you want, providing exceptional usability and stability.
It is also reliable for use in extreme cold regions, sandy deserts, or any shooting environment.
For reference, maximum load ratings vary among manufacturers, so it can be difficult to judge based on numbers alone. Therefore, we have prepared a demo video. To demonstrate that it can hold any equipment, we intentionally placed an extremely heavy 9 kg test bar on a standard Q10i series ball head.
→ CP+2015 Markins Ball Head Demo
As you can see in the video, the ball head’s remarkable load capacity keeps your equipment perfectly still even when you let go, while still allowing smooth movement proportional to the applied force, enabling safe and fast composition adjustments.
Therefore, you won’t experience issues like “loosening the clamp to change composition causes the equipment to drop suddenly” or “heavy lenses gradually tilt downward even when tightly clamped.”
