Markins Q3iTRPs-RD Panorama Shoe 65P Ball Head

The Markins Q3iTRPs is a recommended Q3i Series Traveler Model ball head with a panorama shoe type (Quick Turn), designed as a compact and lightweight model.

The Traveler Model features a flat panning base so that it does not interfere when folding the legs of a Traveler tripod.

The quick shoe on top of the ball rotates 360°, allowing you to level the ball even if the tripod is tilted. The quick shoe can then rotate while maintaining this level, making it extremely convenient for outdoor panoramic photography.

Additionally, the ball head can hold its position even when you release the camera, yet it moves smoothly when intentional force is applied. This high load capacity enables rapid and precise composition adjustments—a major feature of this model.

The Q3i Series supports a load capacity of 30 kg, and the Traveler Model is designed for Traveler tripods. Other series include the Q20i Series (50 kg load capacity) and the Q10i Series (45 kg load capacity). Across all series, the ball heads are known for their smooth movement, precise friction control, ease of use, and exceptional stability.

They are also suitable for use in cold climates, sandy deserts, and virtually any shooting environment with confidence.

For reference, load capacity standards vary between manufacturers, so judging solely by the numbers can be difficult. We have prepared a demonstration video showing even extreme testing: a 9 kg test bar is placed on a standard Q10i Series ball head to confirm it can hold any equipment.

As you can see from the video, the ball head does not move even when you release the equipment due to its remarkable load capacity, yet it moves exactly according to the applied force, allowing safe and quick composition adjustments.

Therefore, there is no issue such as “loosening the clamp to change composition causes the equipment to drop” or “heavy lenses gradually tilt downward even when tightly clamped.”

The quick-turn knob allows attachment and removal in about one rotation, enabling rapid handling of equipment.

The QR-65P uses a double-disk panning mechanism with a wedge-shaped design that applies strong torque even with minimal force. There is no wobble at the rotation axis when locked, enabling sharp panoramic shots.
